Some of the most beloved celebrity couples have launched uber successful side hustles with their significant others. Whether they're co-writing scripts, purchasing sports teams, or running luxury hotels, these Hollywood duos have dared to mix business and pleasure to produce top-notch work.

Russell Wilson and Ciara

 Super bowl winning quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson and his Grammy award winning wife Ciara are the epitome of relationship goals. Funders of the newly named charter school Why Not You Academy, Russell and Ciara are no strangers to working together. They also own a portion of the Seattle Sounders soccer team and Ciara is vice president of her husband’s Why Not You Foundation, where she specifically focuses on empowering young girls.

Mara Brock-Akil and Salim Akil

Some of our favorite television stories originated from the minds of Mara and Salim Akil. This dynamic duo has certified their place in the entertainment industry by creating one hit show after another. They’ve provided us with the likes of Black Lightning, Being Mary Jane, The Game, and Girlfriends to name a few. 

Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee

Husband and wife Spike and Tonya Lee have collaborated on a number of projects throughout their marriage. Co-authors for multiple children's books, “Please, Baby, Please”, “Please, Puppy, Please” and “Giant Steps To Change The World”, they have also worked together on “Miracle's Boys” and Netflix series based on Spike's film “She's Gotta Have It.” 

Chip and Joanna Gaines

From HGTV's “Fixer Upper”, Chip and Joanna Gains originally owned Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas which featured country-inspired home goods. The pair later purchased the Silos, a local town landmark, and refreshed it, attracting new business. The complex is now home to a number of retail stores, including a food truck park, a garden store, bakery, and lawn area. Chip and Joanna now own an array of companies together, including The Magnolia Journal, a lifestyle magazine.

Gloria and Emilio Estefan

Latin royalty Gloria and Emilio Estefan have a minor ownership stake in the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. The singer-songwriter duo are also executive producers of Tony Award nominated musical On Your Feet, as well as owners of several successful Cuban-inspired restaurants in Miami luxury resorts The Cardozo Hotel and Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith

This power couple owns Overbrook Entertainment, a production company that has produced television shows such as All of Us, Hawthorne, and Cobra Kai, as well as popular films ATL, Lakeview Terrace,  The Secret Life of BeesTo All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Hala, and soon to be released film King Richard. In addition, Will and Jada alongside their son and mogul in his own right, Jaden Smith founded the eco-friendly company Just Water, designed to help cut down on plastic pollution in the ocean.

The Real alum and her husband Adam, an award-winning journalist, are co-owners of the family winery and vineyard, Housley's Century Oak Winery. The pair also opened wine tasting sanctuary Housley Napa Valley in Northern California. Visitors can sample the star’s two award-winning wines and area-specific products that the couple either creates, curates, or supports. This is a family business that they hope to pass down to their kids and many generations after.
