Founder, My Sister Keeper Nadia Monsano is a mother of one, graphic designer and a retired veteran of the US Army after serving for 10 years. She has over 5 years of experience in branding, marketing, and networking. She started My Sister Keeper to help women in business connect to their customers through digital marketing and networking. She believes that the most beautiful thing a woman can wear is their confidence. My Sister Keeper provides graphic design services through digital products and services. We have our positive quotes apparel line that not only spreads positive vibes throughout the community but also helps us nuance women who want to start their business. We envision a world in which all women, regardless of race, ethnicity, income level or social status, are nurtured and empowered to reach their fullest potential. My biggest success story is working with a young lady who had just gotten released from her job after being there for 10 years. Due to the pandemic the company had to reduce staff. I had my online show Candid Conversations with My Sister Keeper and the topic for that show was "Keeping It Honest about Starting Your Business." I went through the ups and downs of what I went through when starting My Sister Keeper. I received an email from this young lady the next day telling me "thank you" for the information from my show. We connected the very next day and started working with each other. Within 2 months I designed her cookbook with a unique twist to it. She shares her recipes along with personal stories to go with them on why she loves these dishes that she shares with her family. She is now proudly promoting her cookbook online with the marketing materials I designed for her. We are about to start on her next project. The 3 things that you need to know when starting your business: Customer service is the key to the success of your business. When you provide excellent customer service you will receive word of mouth referrals from your customers which will help grow your business. You will also get fantastic testimonials. Your product or service needs to solve a need for your target audience. Stay focused on your target audience and provide the best product or service. Invest in yourself. Invest in training, courses, and a business coach. The more you learn about your industry the better you will be able to enhance your services. When things are going tough in my business I focus on the "Why" I got started with My Sister Keeper. My Sister Keeper was designed to help women in business remove any barriers from being successful within their business. I have experience in launching several businesses and non-profit organizations. While helping women launch their business, I realized some of the obstacles that business owners face are branding, networking, and creating the right digital materials to attract the right customers. I realized that there was a need for a company to help women network and support each other. We are only as successful as the network we surround ourselves with.
