Widely known as 'The LinkedIn Professor', Tajuana Ross is the CEO of Get Over Yourself Career and Life Coaching, Inc., a #1 bestselling author, an award-winning speaker, an award-winning Certified Branding Coach and LinkedIn ghostwriter to the stars. After leaving life as a corporate rat-racer in 2014, Tajuana began her coaching business and has used her 'tough love' approach to become an Influencer in her field. You’ll catch Tajuana on a mission to change the world, one brand at a time, in her signature “Mohawk, Blazer and Chucks”, currently based in the suburbs of Chicago. With her Signature Framework, Tajuana teaches 'Experts' how to monetize their brands more effectively, in order to be seen as 'Influencers', so they can go from being the hunter to being the hunted. Her focus with them includes leveraging LinkedIn to establish brand credibility, publishing their first Best Selling book to solidify brand authority and building their paid-speaking business to increase brand exposure. As a result of working with her, Tajuana's clients are able to shift their mindset about their brand and begin to consistently attract their ideal demographic. Which people or books have had the most influence on your growth and why? My biggest influence is Janice Bryant Howroyd, the CEO of the ActOne Group and the first black woman to own a billion-dollar business. Her book, Acting Up: Winning in Business and Life Using Down-Home Wisdom has taught me how to repurpose my pain into being a part of my purpose. Changing the narrative and running toward things that historically represented pain allowed me to remain true to my journey while running my business from a place of pure authenticity. What keeps you going when things get tough in your business? Practicing gratitude keeps me rooted when business gets tough. No matter how uncomfortable it may get at times, there are constant reminders everywhere that force me to see how incredibly fortunate I am to do what I love. Being an entrepreneur is certainly not easy, but I'm terribly grateful that I chose this route which has given me the power to make an impact.
